Our Story
A Family Legacy
Raccoon Refuse Garbage Services, Inc. was founded in 2012 by Ernest Sell and his father Tom. They worked tirelessly to build the business from a single truck and a handful of customers to running several trucks daily with several thousand customers all over Erie County and northern Crawford County.
Tom passed away in 2015 and Ernest, along with his wife Erica, continue to run the business in commemoration of Tom and all that he contributed to their lives.
We take pride in being a local family-owned business offering quality and affordable service to our friends and neighbors in North Western Pennsylvania.
Service Areas
We serve most of Erie County, and Crawford County. We are also in parts of Warren County now! Contact us to find out if we are in your area!

Rates vary depending on location. Please contact us for a quote.
Unfortunately, at this time we are not accepting new customers in the Meadville, Conneaut Lake, & Cochranton areas.
Toter
We have 96 gallon toters available for purchase to own for a one-time $100 fee.
Garbage Guidelines
Limits in most areas* for garbage collection are one of the following:

8 (32 gallon) bags

3 (30-40 gallon) cans

1 (96 gallon) toter
We also provide double service for an additional quarterly fee.
*These limits do not apply for areas that are under contract. Please contact us with questions.
We ask that garbage be out the night before and that all loose garbage be bagged.
Customers may have large items picked up with their regular service for an additional $15 fee per large item.
Please no electronics, yard waste, construction material, wet paint, pressurized gas containers, or anything with freon (AC units/refrigerators).
Recycle Guidelines
Recycling drop off locations are offered for all customers. Customers can pay an additional $14 per quarter for a limit of up to 8 (45 gallon) bags per month or they can choose to pay per bag at the time of drop off. Times and locations are listed on the recycling calendar below. The following recyclable items are accepted:

Please no shredded paper, glass, aerosol cans, styrofoam, or take-out containers (including pizza boxes).
Please put recycling in clear or blue bags.
Please note that curbside recycling pick up is still offered in the boroughs of Albion, Cranesville, Union City, Springboro, Cambridge Springs and Summit Township. Pricing and regulations may vary in these locations. Please contact us with questions.
Holidays
Our collection schedule runs normally for all holidays except for Christmas and New Years Day. If Christmas or New Years Day falls on or before your collection day that week, your collection will be one day later than normal.
(Example: Normal collection is Monday, but Christmas is on Monday, collection will be moved to Tuesday for the week)

$65.00 flat rate for the first 1000lbs then 7 cents per pound after that
Drop off recycling is $1.00 per bag (32 Gallon)
Drop off garbage is $2.00 per bag (32 Gallon)
Large Items are charged by size if not (Couch=$15)
